It is built very sturdy and does what it was made to. The stainless steel looks great and is very sleek. One thing though... GETS VERY HOT, but as long as you use the handle you will be fine. I really like that it came with a filter in it and has the automatic turn off when it reaches the appropriate temperature. The idea of boiling water in a plastic kettle scares me a bit-I don't want the chemicals leeching out into the water for me to drink. Granted, this kettle does have some plastic inside such as on the lid and in the water level indicator, but for the most part, it's all metal, which I feel safer with.This kettle is not just handy for tea and instant coffee, but also for boiling water for pasta or any other cooking which requires hot water. It gets me there faster and more energy efficiently than boiling water on the stovetop. It works as advertised, looks good and seems like it will last a long time.
